Library
The Library, located in the John Paul II Pontificate's Center for Documentation and Research, consists of the following sections: the lectorium, the papal book collection, scientific dissertations, a collection of books dedicated to John Paul II, a collection of magazines and articles, as well as rich collection of press clippings. The collection is multilingual and includes numerous unique items. The entire library contains about 30,000 volumes.
- The Lectorium includes: dictionaries, encyclopedias, general historical and philosophical studies, as well as publications of the Holy See, including documents of the Magisterium of the Church.
- The Papal book collection includes all philosophical, theological and literary works of Karol Wojtyła created before 1978, books documenting the work and teachings of John Paul II, as well as other publications significant to the history of the pontificate. This is the most voluminous section of the library.
- Scientific dissertations, pertaining to the teachings of John Paul II or inspired by His work and thought. They come from many different academic societies around the world.
- The Dedicated books section contains thousands of volumes, regarding various topics, donated or dedicated to John Paul II.
- Magazines include both a collection of periodicals collected by the Center and collections of articles from specialist magazines around the world.
- Press documentation includes Polish, Italian and global press.
